As alerts and crazed messages are passed around the greater Metro Dee Cee area about the impending blanket of heavy snow, all I can say is an important Public Service announcement to those on the Beltway, 66, 395, 270, and so forth:

SNOW! ABANDON YOUR CARS NOW! RUN! GET MILK, BREAD, AND TOILET PAPER! (why that, I have no idea, but if you've ever been in a grocery store around here when the alarm goes out...)
